Prohibited Items

EPASSENGERS, HAND LUGGAGE AND CHECKED BAGGAGE

Subject to applicable safety regulations, passengers are not permitted to carry the following items in the helicopter cabin:

a) Weapons, firearms and other devices that discharge projectiles, devices capable or appearing capable of being used to cause serious injury by discharging a projectile, including:
– All types of firearms, such as pistols, revolvers, rifles, carbines.
– Toy weapons, replicas and imitations of firearms that could be mistaken for real ones.
– Component parts of firearms, with the exception of telescopic sights.
– Air and CO2-powered weapons, such as pistols, pellet guns, rifles and ball-bearing guns,
– Flare launchers and starter pistols,
– Bows, crossbows and arrows,
– Harpoons and spearguns,
– Slingshots and stone launchers.

b) Stunning devices, devices specifically designed to stun or immobilize, including:
– Immobilization devices, such as stun guns, electric shock weapons and electric shock batons,
– Non-lethal animal stunning and killing devices,
– Chemical neutralizing and immobilizing substances and gases, such as neutralizing gas, pepper spray, tear gases, acid sprays and animal repellent sprays.

c) Sharp-pointed or sharp-edged objects capable of being used to cause serious injury, including:
– Cutting items, such as small and large axes and hatchets,
– Ice picks and ice breakers,
– Razor blades,
– Box cutters,
– Knives with blades longer than 6 cm,
– Scissors with blades longer than 6 cm from their pivot point,
– Martial arts objects with a sharp point or sharp edge,
– Swords and sabres.

d) Work tools, tools capable of being used to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of the aircraft, including:
– Crowbars,
– Drills and drill bits, as well as cordless portable electric drills,
– Tools with a blade or shaft longer than 6 cm that can be used as weapons, such as screwdrivers and chisels,
– Saws and cordless portable saws,
– Blowtorches,
– Bolt guns and nail guns.

e) Blunt instruments, objects capable of being used to cause serious injury when used aggressively, including:
– Baseball or softball bats,
– Clubs and batons, police truncheons, nightsticks and protection batons,
– Martial arts equipment.

f) Explosives and incendiary materials and devices capable or appearing capable of being used to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of the aircraft, including:
– Ammunition,
– Detonator caps,
– Detonators and blasting fuses,
– Replicas or imitations of explosive devices,
– Mines, grenades and other explosive munitions,
– Fireworks and other pyrotechnics,
– Smoke canisters and smoke cartridges,
– Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.

g) Liquid products
The quantities of liquids that passengers are permitted to carry into the passenger cabin are limited to 100 ml per container. The total of these containers per passenger must fit in a single resealable transparent plastic bag of maximum capacity 1 litre. Liquids include:
– Water and other beverages, soups, syrups,
– Perfumes and colognes,
– Gels, including hair and bath gels,
– Creams, including toothpaste,
– Ointments, lotions and oils,
– Mascara and other liquid cosmetics,
– Sprays,
– Contents of pressurized containers, including shaving foam, other foams and deodorants,
– Liquid/solid mixtures,
– Other items of similar consistency.

Explosives and incendiary materials and devices that can be used to cause serious injury or threaten the safety of the aircraft, including:

– Ammunition,
– Detonator caps,
– Detonators and blasting fuses,
– Mines, grenades and other explosive munitions,
– Fireworks and other pyrotechnics,
– Smoke canisters and smoke cartridges,
– Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.

In addition to the above, the following are also subject to inspection:
– Gases: Propane, butane, etc.,
– Flammable liquids: Petrol, methanol, etc.,
– Flammable solids & Reactive substances: Magnesium, fire starters, flares, etc.,
– Oxidizing substances & Organic peroxides: Bleaching agents, complete body repair kits, etc.,
– Toxic or infectious materials: Rat poison, infected blood, etc.,
– Radioactive isotopes: Isotopes for medical or commercial use, etc.,
– Corrosive substances: Mercury, car batteries, etc.,
– Vehicle fuel system components containing fuel.

PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES (PED)

• Portable electronic devices (PEDs) containing lithium batteries carried by passengers must be transported in the passenger cabin, either on their person or in their hand luggage.
• The transport of portable electronic devices (PEDs) containing lithium batteries placed in checked baggage in the cargo compartment is prohibited.
• The transport of spare batteries, portable power banks and portable electronic smoking devices (e.g. electronic cigarettes, personal vaporizers) in checked baggage in the cargo compartment is prohibited.
• For passengers departing from locations other than airports, all their baggage and hand luggage, except for portable electronic devices (PEDs), will be stored in the cargo compartment of the helicopter.
